What kind of steward have you been? Have you faithfully handled the things that have been entrusted to your care? How about in the workplace, in your past jobs? This is sometimes hard to face, but the message is clear. Jobs that offer increased authority and compensation will only come when we demonstrate faithful stewardship over our current positions. We aren’t permitted to give less than our best to jobs that we deem to be “beneath us,” or act disrespectfully to supervisors we judge unworthy. If we haven’t behaved as good stewards in our past jobs, now is our chance to confess it and repent. Determine to behave in your next position as if you are working directly for God himself. Start now in your job search by being grateful and careful with every blessing and opportunity you receive. Then watch God as He rewards your faithful stewardship.

DECLARE THIS:
• I acknowledge that every good thing I have is a gift from God.
• I am God’s steward. By the Holy Spirit I will serve Him faithfully.
• By faith I receive increased responsibility and increased blessing as God’s faithful servant.

“A Kingdom response is only given to a Kingdom request.” Wow, Barb, I had to stop after I read that line and think about it…and squirm about it…and realized to my dismay how I have missed the boat in my prayer life! How many hours have I spent in prayer that was most certainly manipulated by my flesh and not aligned with the Kingdom? Too many. Thanks- Toni
